BAC received its first small grant from NIAA in 2019 to help with website development and communications strategy. With its predecessor the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet Indigenous Affairs section, BAC closely liaised with the Australian government, seeking advice and pathways to gain funding and support in its business development. As BAC is demonstrating capability and performance to deliver outcomes in the region, it is anticipated that the NIAA will be a great supporter and investor in our work to strengthen culture and community through improving the economic and social wellbeing of the local Aboriginal people.

Julie Hayden is a Goreng woman born in Katanning in the Great Southern Region of WA. She brings a wealth of knowledge and a vast range of experience to the Badgebup Aboriginal Corporation.
