We use social media (including but not necessarily limited to: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube) to provide news, education and support to our clients and the wider community.

We also provide 'comment' sections in some areas of our websites where readers can make contributions.

 

Data collection

Badgebup Aboriginal Corporation (BAC) receives data on posts, ads, tweets, videos and other content we create and place on social media which is used to improve our products, services and in marketing. This data is is non-individualised.

 

Social media usage

We may use your social media details and any contributions you make to us via social media, such as but not limited to posting on our pages, commenting on our website or social media posts, tagging us in tweets or instagram posts, inboxing / messaging us. Social media may be used for the resolution of enquiries, performance measurement and evaluation and product and service development

BAC may also use contributions such as (but not limited to) Images, links, videos or comments within our own promotional material. We will always endeavour to contact you to seek your consent in relation to using such content.

By commenting within our social media profiles or addressing BAC in social media you are acknowledging that we may respond through social media in return, based around the capacity offered by your your personal privacy settings within social media.

 

Acceptable behaviour standards

Badgebup Aboriginal Corporation (BAC) suggest the following as healthy online behaviours:

  1. Do not share any personal information on public forums
  2. Please respect others' comments and views.
  3. Please use considerate and appropriate language.
  4. Please do not post negative content or remarks that can be reasonable construed to be defamatory, disparaging, abusive, offensive, violent, threatening or profane in general or in relation to the portrayal of any group based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, sexual preference, religion or disability
  5. When posting material which is the copyright of others please be mindful that infringement on any party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, intellectual property, or other proprietary rights, or right of publicity or privacy is strictly prohibited and is your sole responsibility.
  6. Please do not use the BAC comments section or social media platforms to solicit for any personal business or cause.
  7. Please do not post or share links or material which may cause compromise others or breach third party securities

 

Moderation

BAC welcome all feedback but reserves the right to moderate content on our social media channels and in the comments sections of our websites, at our sole discretion, including the removal of any comments, images, links or other contributions solely at our discretion, including those which are:

  1. Misleading or inaccurate
  2. In breach of a third partie's confidentiality, security or privacy
  3. Offensive, violent, abusive, derogatory, profane or vilifying to others
  4. Material which may be subject to legal, abritration or ombudsman proceedings
  5. Repeated content, or spam designed to disrupt access to our media channels
  6. off-topic or unrelated to the subject of the channels or threads concerned
  7. Designed to cause undue concern, offence or discomfort to Push Consult website or social media channel viewers
     

Content posted on BAC's website or social media channels in a manners which breaches either these guidelines, the relevant social media platform's terms of use, our Website Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, or Australian laws will be subject to remedial action. BAC reserve the right (where the social media channel allows) to block and/or report the offending party/patrties to the social media platforms concerned and other authorities (including law enforcement) at our sole discretion without notice.
